We highly recommend several different roofing products. Major Roofing brands we installed was Owen Corning OC, GAF, Certainteed, Divinci, Flintastic, Comfort Seal, IKO, Atlas,Tamko and Allied.

Why so many brands? Just like the automobile options--You have several major brands and you could argue about which one is the best. You hear all the ads and research by different research companies telling you how their products are better---Fact of the matter most all brands are very good but each may offer special options,styles, colors, etc that make them different. The same is true with roofing products. Several roofing

colors are nearly the same--only an expert could tell the difference but there are some shingles that are completely different from other brands. Most all of these differences are for marketing purposes---trying to offer

you something different. We install a lot of roofing in special sub-divisions with restrictions--in that case the products are usually the same on every house. They do not want different products and colors installed in those

so called gated communities. As we have over 80 years in the business we can tell the differences of different

brands and make recommendations based upon your home and your preferences.

Three things to consider--Product, Installation, and cost. These three things are part

of every roofing job. Roofing requires Roofing materials, Roofing application, and

money (cost) to complete the total project. Any time you make one more important

than the other you are cutting one to cover the other. Example--If you make your

decision based upon the lowest price either the roofing materials or the installing costs

must be cut. Would you choose cheap roofing materials to be installed, or would you

hire cheap labor to keep a cheap price? One or the other--or even both must be cut

in order to be the cheapest initial cost.
